Scientex Q3 net profit rises 14.8% on stronger packaging margins

PETALING JAYA: Scientex Bhd’s net profit rose 14.8% to RM142.17 million for the third quarter ended April 30, 2026 (Q3’26), from RM123.87 million a year earlier, driven by improved margins and stronger performance in its packaging division.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, its revenue for the quarter increased 0.7% to RM1.12 billion from RM1.11 billion previously, bringing nine-month revenue 2.5% higher to RM3.41 billion.
For the first nine months, net profit grew 11.6% to RM420.26 million from RM376.42 million in the same period last year, supported by a 13.2% rise in operating profit to RM599.7 million.
The group declared a single-tier interim dividend of six sen per share, payable on July 17.
Scientex said it expects to deliver a satisfactory performance for this financial year, supported by resilience across both its packaging and property segments.
The group said the packaging division continues to face a challenging operating environment amid geopolitical tensions, which have led to energy price volatility and ongoing pressure on supply chains and logistics.
In response, the group is focusing on cost optimisation, operational efficiency and close engagement with customers to ensure supply stability, while remaining agile in navigating market uncertainties.
Meanwhile, the property division is expected to remain a key growth driver, underpinned by sustained demand for affordable housing, steady construction progress and healthy take-up rates.
The group is also expanding its township pipeline, with new developments in Melaka, Kedah and Selangor set to support medium- to long-term growth.
