PETALING JAYA: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa has presented keys to homeowners of SkyAwani 5 Residences, a development by SkyWorld Development Bhd with an 84% Qlassic score and a 5-star Shassic ratings from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).

At the event, Zaliha lauded SkyAwani Residences for raising the standards of affordable housing development, as the development was under the government’s Residensi Wilayah program designed to support first-time home buyers in Kuala Lumpur.

“SkyAwani 5 Residences also made history as the first affordable home to introduce an EV charging station for the convenience of its residents. This is a revolutionary step towards creating a low-carbon city and I would like to applaud SkyWorld for leading the way.

If you observe current development trends, most projects offering facilities like swimming pools and gymnasiums are typically found in luxury residential developments priced above RM 500,000. However, SkyWorld has set a high standard in the industry by providing this added value for residents of Residensi Wilayah,” she said.

With a gross development value (GDV) of RM188 million, SkyAwani 5 Residence sits on a strategic 2.06-acre parcel in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. Comprising 615 units in a singular 36-storey tower, each unit offers 800 sq ft of living space at an affordable price of RM300,000. The development also comes with facilities such as a gymnasium, terrace lawn, tree house, basketball court, jogging trail, multipurpose hall, games room, co-working space, rooftop sky lounge and a sky garden. It was fully sold in December 2020.

SkyWorld founder and executive chairman Datuk Seri Ng Thien Phing said the company is committed to quality in its products.

“We deliver homes that meet or surpass industry standards regardless of the price. This is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality homes to Malaysians. Our dedication is rooted in our brand promise of You Can Now Own a Quality Home and Living and fuelled by the company’s purpose to Make Living Better,” he said.

Also present at the event was chief executive officer Lee Chee Seng and Federal Territories Department deputy-director general Datuk Parang Abai.
