EdgeProp, IQI in new partnership to enhance data-driven innovation in local real estate sector

KUALA LUMPUR (May 29): IQI’s journey with EdgeProp began in 2022 when both inked their first MoU to collaborate via brand-building tools and marketing solution.
The partnership has so far been a win-win for both parties and it is with this in mind that it is carried on with vigour. A second MoU/strategic partnership was therefore signed today to build on that relationship.
This fresh collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of IQI agents through advanced data and mapping capabilities, hence EdgeProp is bringing along its EPIQ capabilities this time around.
IQI is a global network of more than 40,000 real estate agents in more than 20 countries and is a member of Juwai IQI. The latter is an international real estate technology group.
“We are partnering with EdgeProp because we want our agents to be able to close more deals, more easily. Under the new partnership, all IQI agents in Malaysia will have access to EdgeProp’s EPIQ mapping and property data platform, which contains more than 20 million data points. The combination of EPIQ and IQI’s own proprietary data and technology well give IQI agents and negotiators the most powerful technology and data tools available,” said Kashif Ansari, co-founder and group CEO of IQI.
“Analytics and data are at the cornerstone of productivity today. IQI has long been a leader in aggregating and analysing our data and drawing that data practical lessons for the marketplace. Adding EdgeProp’s EPIQ platform to the tools that our agents already have will help them succeed on a higher level,” added Ansari.
Daniel Ho, co-founder and group managing director of IQI, elaborated on the benefits of the data and content partnership for their agents’ professional growth. “The added exposure will complement our existing media coverage and give our agents an even greater reach. That will help them drive new inquiries and improve rates of conversion.”
Addressing the growth of IQI in Malaysia, Ho added: “We see that home prices have resisted the pressure of higher interet rates and the market is performing well. We are excited about the prospects of further expansion in our business in 2024. The year has already started strong, with January sales in Malaysia surpassing 58% higher than in January 2023.”
Alvin Ong, managing director of EdgeProp, expressed his enthusiasm over the partnership that was witnessed by more than 4,000 delegates at the Juwai IQI International Convention 2024 today.
“We see ourselves as a digital enabler among real estate professionals, to help foster better visibility and credibility in a competitive market,” he said. “We have been making strides in this domain and to complement the technological integration, the partnership also includes a content agreement that will enable a crossover for both EdgeProp and IQI to publish market analysis and expert advice on each platform,” added Ong.
Moreover, EdgeProp is in the midst of rolling out a new AI product for users to access personalised property data.
“This will further extend the agents’ reach and visibility on our platform based on content recommendations,” said EdgeProp business development head Nimalen Parimalam.
EdgeProp is focused on empowering consumers with the resources they need to make better-informed property decisions.
This EdgeProp-IQI partnership marks a significant step towards integrating advanced technology into the real estate sector in Malaysia, ensuring agents are equipped with the best tools to excel in an increasingly digital marketplace.
