FFM marks 60 years of nourishing Malaysians

From bread fresh out of the oven and homemade birthday cakes to comforting meals shared around the family table, FFM Bhd’s (FFM) flour and food products have been woven into Malaysian life for six decades.
Now, one of the country’s leading flour millers is commemorating that journey with a 60th-anniversary logo. Unveiled on Wednesday at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (Mihas) 2026, it forms part of FFM’s commemorative identity for the milestone.
Bearing the tagline “Anchor of our Nation, Key to Nourishing Malaysians for 6 Decades and Beyond”, the anniversary logo pairs an anchor with a blue key, two symbols of FFM’s journey so far and its aspiration for the future.
The anchor represents the company’s longstanding role as a dependable foundation of Malaysia’s food supply. It also pays tribute to Anchor Flour (Cap Sauh), one of FFM’s best-known flour brands that reflects its long history in flour milling.
As an important part of Malaysia’s food security supply chain, FFM continues to supply flour and animal feed nationwide through its operations across peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

The blue key complements the anchor, symbolising the opportunities FFM hopes to unlock as it enters its seventh decade. It is also a subtle nod to Blue Key Flour, another familiar name in the company’s portfolio.
Together, the two elements capture a company firmly anchored in its heritage but ready to open the door to new possibilities.
“For six decades, FFM has grown alongside families, customers, food businesses and communities across Malaysia. This celebration is an opportunity to appreciate how far we have come.
“It also reminds us to keep moving forward with quality people can trust, continued innovation and a long-term commitment to the food industry,” said Liew Kai Wah, FFM’s group general manager.
FFM’s journey began as a wheat flour miller in 1966. But six decades later, its business reaches well beyond flour: operations now include animal feed manufacturing, livestock farming, food processing, bakery products and consumer products distribution.

Its portfolio includes names familiar to generations of Malaysians. Beyond Anchor Flour and Blue Key Flour, these include Massimo bread and cakes, Seri Murni eggs and cooking oil, as well as Marina frozen and canned foods, among others.
FFM is a subsidiary of PPB Group Bhd, a diversified Malaysian conglomerate with core businesses spanning grains and agribusiness, consumer products, property, as well as film exhibition and distribution.
Mihas 2026 provided an apt stage for the unveiling of the new logo, placing FFM’s milestone before key players in the international halal ecosystem. FFM’s products are certified by Jakim, enabling the company to serve food manufacturers and other businesses in both domestic and international halal markets.
The event also saw the premiere of FFM’s corporate video and the unveiling of a heritage wall tracing key milestones in FFM’s journey from its beginnings in 1966 to its 60th anniversary.
The anniversary logo formed the centrepiece of the display, while a large blue key installation nearby brought the anchor-and-key symbolism to life for visitors.

Visitors also watched live demonstrations using FFM’s products to make focaccia bread and “roti canai terbang”, which drew an appreciative crowd as the dough was stretched and tossed through the air.
These demonstrations offered a small glimpse of how FFM’s products continue to find a place in Malaysian kitchens. As tastes evolve, FFM intends to keep innovating and growing alongside the communities it serves.
Building on six decades of experience, the company will continue to pursue opportunities in innovation, nutrition and sustainability as it enters its seventh decade.
