KUALA LUMPUR (March 4): Mah Sing Group Bhd will launch a new service apartment development named M Sinar in its 428-acre Southville City township in Bangi, Selangor in 2Q2024, according to a press statement on March 4 (Monday).
Spread across a 5.77-acre tract, M Sinar will offer two 33-storey serviced apartment towers. Both towers will have 999 units that come in two layouts — Type A (550 sq ft) and Type B (868 sq ft) with selling prices from RM270,000.
The press statement stated that the RM11 billion Southville City is currently home to approximately 12,000 residents in 5,000 units of homes. The newly completed Sensory Residence serviced apartment development is targeted for vacant possession in 1Q2024.
Southville City is surrounded by parks, greenery and walkways. It is also within walking distance of various retail outlets. Some retail brands that are already in operation include Mercearia Grocer, MR DIY, 99 Speedmart, 7-Eleven, MyNews, Watsons and Naturalife Pharmacy. F&B outlets include KFC, Subway, FamilyMart and The Coffee Bean & The Leaf. There are also educational institutions such as Greenview Islamic International School and Q-dees Southville City.
Meanwhile, Mah Sing founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum revealed that the developer is gearing up to unveil a new township named M Legasi in Semenyih by the end of the year.
Leong added: “Mah Sing achieved RM2.26 billion sales in 2023, and has set a higher minimum sales target of RM2.5 billion for 2024. This year holds great promise as we aim to launch all our new developments, including high-rise, landed residential and industrial projects, as well as our new township.”
According to the statement, Mah Sing acquired a 500-acre land parcel for M Legasi. The township targets potential buyers from Kajang, Seri Kembangan, Bangi, and Seremban seeking affordable alternatives outside congested urban areas as well as provide essential amenities and infrastructure.
Earlier this year, the developer also announced its plan to develop an industrial development named Mah Sing Business Park in Sepang. The statement said the development will feature customised factories, industrial lots as well as clusters, semi-dee, and detached factories, catering to medium and light industrial businesses, with a focus on attracting industry players from high-tech manufacturing and value-creation manufacturing sectors.
