KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 25): Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd (PHB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), has appointed Mazuki Abdullah @ Muhammad (pictured) as its new group managing director, effective Jan 1, 2026.
He replaces current group managing director and chief executive officer Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit, who will retire upon the completion of his contract on Dec 31, 2025. Mohamad Damshal has been leading the company since Jan 1, 2023.
In a statement on Thursday, PHB said Mazuki is currently co-head of the real estate division at PNB, where he oversees a diversified domestic real estate portfolio with total asset value exceeding RM12 billion.
The portfolio comprises land banking, investment properties, industrial and logistics assets, as well as active development projects. His responsibilities also include Merdeka 118, PNB’s mixed-use development, and PNB Group’s hospitality investment platform.
With more than 25 years of experience in real estate, corporate strategy and institutional investment, PHB said Mazuki is well-positioned to lead the company into the next phase of growth. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Kent, Canterbury, the UK.
During his tenure, Mohamad Damshal led key strategic initiatives to strengthen PHB’s operational processes, governance framework and professional culture, as well as a turnaround in the group’s financial position.
Over this period, PHB recorded improvements in revenue and profitability, alongside improved occupancy levels across most of its commercial assets.
“With these foundations firmly in place, PHB is well-positioned to continue executing its growth strategy and progress towards its 2027 milestones,” the company added.
